Important Update: Potential Canada Post Strike & Delivery Alternatives

Canada Post workers walked off the job on September 25th and are currently on full strike with no work being done.

If you’re in an major urban center we’ve enabled Chit Chats Select option; however this is a slightly riskier option due to its “Safe Drop” process of leaving it at the first available delivery spot with no notices.

We want to ensure all our customers are informed and prepared for potential disruptions to mail service in Canada.

📦 Canada Post Strike: What You Need to Know

Canada Post’s union CUPW walked off the job on September 25th, 2025. All lettermail and parcel delivery services across Canada are currently halted. This will affect individuals and businesses alike, including Coincards operations.

💡 Coincards Response: Alternative Delivery Method

To minimize disruption to your orders, Coincards began offering an alternative delivery method effective immediately.

This alternative delivery option includes:

  • Non-signature porch delivery

  • No delivery notifications

  • No insurance coverage

⚠️ This is a “use at your own risk” delivery method. We strongly advise customers to consider the security of their delivery location before selecting this option.

✉️ Canada Post Shipment options Disabled

Customers can no longer select Canada Post Lettermail or Parcel delivery options at checkout.

📍 Special Note for Shipments from Montreal

Please be aware that orders containing products shipping from our Montreal location are not able to ship. No alternative delivery options are available for this location at this time. You will see a breakdown of card locations on the side of the checkout screen. Please remove all Quebec located cards to checkout.

  • Select Electronic Delivery cards only.

  • If your order is time-sensitive, consider using our alternative porch delivery method.
